Constantinos (Con) Ballas
Con was the fourth son of Demetrius. He was named after one of the most important figures in ancient history, Constantine the Great (well known for being the first Roman emperor converted to Christianity). His name is a very popular Greek name. Its derivations include; Kostantinos, Kostas, Con, Costas, and Gus.

Con Ballas only spent a short time in America after he immigrated. He joined his brothers and his father working on the railroad yards in Chicago, Illinios, where he had a serious accident. Apparently, he was struck in the head while working and sustained brain damage. Con was never the same after the accident and had to return to Greece.

Con died in 1943 during the German occupation of his hometown of Kiato, Greece. Details of his death are not clear, but it seems he was sent for healing to a sanitarium in Athens where he fell victim to the German cruelty and died of starvation.

Con Ballas was never able to fulfill his father's dream and find a better life for himself.

Rest in Peace, Constantinos!
